Improve Import function

I'm trying to import a list of users (csv file) that I need to unsubscribe from an existing list.
So I select the name of the list, check "update status of existing accounts" with status=Unsubscribe".
What's not right is that these users get Unsubscribed of ALL the lists they belonged to, not just the list I had specified.
This makes it horribly complicated in cases where my intention is to move users from one list to another, something I have to do regularly.
I found a workaround that is hardly less cumbersome than updating each user manually, a pity...
I apologies : I'm using Mailpoet in french, I may not have the correct words!

I use automations to move people between lists if that may help you?
So if I want a number of subscribers to move from list A to list B, I would:
1 create an automation triggered by a subscriber being added to list B
2 remove subscriber from list A in the automation
3 activate the automation
4 import all the subscribers to list B

Unsubscribe is not the same a remove from list. When a users wants to unsubscribe, that means they no longer want to receive any emails from you, not just emails from one list. They can manage their subscriptions in order remove themselves from a single list. So unsubscribe is just a flag on their record and when set, they no longer get any emails from you regardless of what list they belong to. If you want to remove them from a given list, but keep them on others, then you need to manually do that, or write a program that removes them from a list. Also, if you remove a person from a list, they will still be listed if you filter by people in a list. This is something I have reported to them as it is annoying.

Jim Hunter thanks. I don't let my users manage their subscription - they can only unsubscribe to the Newsletter as required by law. I agree with you, it is very annoying to have people still listed in lists they don't belong to anymore. Hopefully Automation will be the solution.
