We would like to have an option to add transactional emails without the obligation to show an unsubscribe link.

For service emails (like maintenance notices, and privacy policy updates) one is not obligated by the GDPR to show an unsubscribe link.

Agreed. Also, some types of email/notifications are required by law to be sent. However, Mailpoet can allow subscribers to completely remove themselves without the site admin being to send legally required messages.

The way I see it, it is not the duty of the software to force their users (site admins) to comply with GDPR type of requirements, it is only the software's rsponsibility to make sure a site admin CAN comply.
