Option to send confirmation e-mail for imported list and auto-triggering welcome emails for imported list

Option to send a confirmation e-mail automatically (or trigger welcome emails already set up) when new e-mails are imported or manually added to a list. Having to ask them to resubscribe from scratch almost immediately after they already opted in (or potentially double opted-in) from a program MailPoet isn't integrated with just because we can't send a confirmation email is very much not ideal. Having to use the current workaround (import them into a list and send a newsletter manually before then manually moving them to the original list we want them on) is an incredibly time-consuming task that has to be repeated constantly as new subscribers sign up for the list with whatever program you're using that MailPoet doesn't integrate with (e.g. kingsumo, bookfunnel).

For my use case, monthly imports would include both new subscribers but also existing subscribers that registered for the monthly events, so for me, this feature would be helpful only if it could send the welcome email only to new subscribers in the import list. I wouldn't want to send to existing subscribers again!

And also triggering automations please :D

Is this option still not possible in 2023? How can I send double opt-in to multiple new entries?

In a future update, please can you add the feature where bulk imported subscribers can receive welcome emails?
I am a new user migrating from another email marketing service. I had to manually add 271 subscribers one by one into my MailPoet list, as this is the only way they will be able to receive the welcome emails I have set up. This was really cumbersome.
The workaround you gave in your support knowledge base was not helpful.

Many marketing plug-ins don't work directly with MailPoet, but they all work with Mail Chimp, so I aggregate new subscribers via Mail Chimp then import them back into MailPoet. MailPoet used to support sending welcome emails on new import, but, the MailPoet corporation, being perpetually afraid of spammers, stopped allowing it. There are many use cases that support the feature that don't involve spammers, but they don't seem to accept them. Probably the EU rules make it too dangerous.

When ever I import new subscribers I add them to an "Imported on YYYY MM DD" list as well as the Newsletter list. This way I can send a newsletter to the people I just imported. But it would be MUCH EASIER if I could toggle sending the Welcome Email to imports!
