Create an "Already Subscribed" message
Saloma Furlong
I have a problem with one function of the Mailpoet sign-up form I added to my website. When I tested to see what would happen if I signed up even though I'd already signed up, I received a message that I should check my email for a confirmation email. When I clicked on the confirmation link, it took me to my website to confirm I would be receiving emails soon.
This didn't seem right to me. Shouldn't I be receiving a message that tells me I'm already signed up? On the back end, I see that my email is only in there once, so that part is good. I can see how blog readers could get confused by the fact that they can sign up multiple times.
Incidentally, I also received an email letting me know of a new subscriber both times.
Is there a way to create a message that alerts readers when they are already signed up?
Thank you for your consideration!

That would be amazing. It would also help reduce the amount of complaints we get when people sign up twice and don't receive the welcome e-mail with the download link for the signup incentive again.
That's a whole other issue by the way - the welcome e-mail doesn't even get sent a second time to people who unsubscibed in the past and then resubscribe, that doesn't make any sense. My request to change this is here, in case anyone would like to support it: https://mailpoet.canny.io/feature-requests/p/allow-duplicate-welcome-e-mails
