Enable to subscribe by category

Hi,
I wish to ask that you will enable subscribers to subscribe (and of course - unsubscribe) to one or more categories - and only when there is a new post or page that is linked to these categories - only then they will get an email from your system.

you can do so by setting up a "new post notifications" for every category you have (or even clusters of them).

JESmh: Thanks, but that is not very practical nor realistic. I have dozens of categories. Also it will bloat the plugins content for no good reason.
Please look at the wordpress plugin of subscribe2 - it offer this ability, as part of the subscriber's management page (both of the subscriber him/her self and for the admin's UI), using check box for each catagory - very handy.
